The Viscardi Center is currently accepting nominations for the 2019 Henry Viscardi Achievement Awards. Named for the Center’s founder and a premier disability advocate, Dr. Henry Viscardi, Jr., these awards honor leaders who carry on his legacy by improving quality of life for people with disabilities, including through employment. Metro: EEOC is one block from the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro Station on the Red Line
The next meeting of the Federal Exchange on Employment and Disability (FEED) will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. ET at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), located at 131 M Street, NE in Washington, DC.
In addition to agency updates, and discussing developments with the new FEED working groups, there will be presentations from guest speakers from the private sector about promising and emerging practices related to disability inclusion in the workplace. There will also be a networking event and celebration of our collective achievements over the past year during the second half of the meeting.

The deadline to apply for the Labor Department’s Excellence in Disability Inclusion Awards is November 1. Employers who have already submitted an application may also update it up until this date.
