As noted above, EY clinched the top spot on both the list of DiversityInc’s 2017 “Top Companies for Diversity” and “Top Companies for People with Disabilities.” The foundation for its success is a holistic approach to disability inclusion, stemming from one of its founder’s experiences with disability. Finding it difficult to practice law in the late 1800s, Arthur Young, who was deaf and had low vision, forged a new career in the new industry of accounting.
